About Us

Lunova Aura was founded in April 2023 during a late-night conversation with a lifelong friend. On a whim, I said, "Maybe I'll do this," only half-serious. But I woke up the next day and registered for all the necessary business paperwork. Feeling nervous and excited, I devoted all my free time to my new shop. It has been a lot of hard work, but also very rewarding. I am proud of what I have accomplished and excited to see what the future holds.

Meet Luna & Nova, the inspiration behind the name of my shop.

Luna and Nova became a part of our family during the 2020 shutdown and fit right in!

Lunova is derived from Luna in combination with Nova, which means "to shine new light." The name perfectly embodies our mission to bring love and light to the world.

Luna

Luna is a feminine given name of Latin origin that translates to "moon." As a name, Luna evokes qualities such as intuition, sensitivity, and emotional depth. The spiritual significance of the name is rooted in its association with the moon, which has deep symbolic meaning in many cultures and traditions. In Roman mythology, Luna was the goddess of the moon. It was said that each night at dusk, she shot an arrow full of stars across the night sky.

Nova

Nova is a phenomenon caused by a robust and sudden increase in the star's luminosity, making it much brighter than before. Apart from the Sun and the Moon, a nova can become the most luminous object in the sky. Overall, the name 'Nova' has a strong connotation of new beginnings and a bright light in one's life.
